HEART RATE VARIABILITY (HRV) BIOFEEDBACK (BFB)

A Calm, Confident, and Resilient You

The one thing in life that can be expected is stress. Most people, however, are not given the tools to control their beliefs, needs, and emotional patters that determine how they live their life each day and cope with challenge.

The good news? Your response to stress can be changed.

You can learn how to improve your health, boost performance, and close the gap between where you are now and where you would like to be.

What is Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback Training?

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Bifoeedback training is an evidence-based treatment during which you are trained to improve your mental and physical health by using signals from your own body. Dr. Leah Lagos, who is Board Certified in Biofeedback, implements state of the art biofeedback training that allows you to see subtle changes in your physiological activity and change them. The techniques are non-invasive and allow you to improve control over how you react to internal and exertnal stressors.

What Are The Benefits?

Biofeedback therapy helps you to gain skills to restore autonomic balance in the body. The beneficial effects of biofeedback therapy include:

Faster reaction times
Improved hormone balance
Enhanced cardiac health
Improved immune system activity
Reduced anxiety
Improved mood
Clearer thinking
Reduced Muscle Tension
Elevated Mood
Faster Recovery

What Is A Typical Biofeedback Session Like?

Sessions range from 45 to 60 minutes, during which electrical sensors will be applied to different parts of the client's body. These sensors are non-invasive and measure various responses, such as respiration for example, in patients suffering from panic attacks. The information elicited by the sensors will be fed back to you in the form of visual or auditory cues. The end goal is to help you to gain the ability to produce specific responses on your own, at will, and whenever necessary.
