The Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) is the only institute recognized worldwide granting certification to biofeedback practitioners. BCIA was established in 1981 with the mission of protecting the general public by establishing strict standards for biofeedback practitioners. It is important to understand that possession of a biofeedback device does not indicate training to use it.

How many biofeedback sessions will I need?
Everybody is different. The number of sessions depends on many variables. However, if you come to weekly biofeedback appointments and practice regularly at home, you should begin to experience improvements in approximately ten sessions.

How long will the effects of the training last?
Research has shown that learning to regulate the body’s response to stress improves immune system functioning, cardiovascular health, and enhances the quality of life. In this sense, the skills learned through biofeedback can last a lifetime.
