More about Dr. Lagos

Biofeedback Explained

Reduce anxiety, improve mood, enhance focus, and reduce muscle tension through heart rate variability biofeedback.

High performing individuals bring a great depth of skill and knowledge to their work and training. They excel in most areas of their expertise and lead successful lives and careers. And yet, some of the challenges they encounter are more stressful than others. They are not always able to bring their knowledge and skill set to high stress situations, leaving them feeling unable to perform at their best. These challenges are not related to lack of skill or training, and require a specific set of physiological skills to manage the mind and body's response to stress. The ability to self-regulate is at the core of how peak performers handle challenge. Ideally, we want our brains and our bodies to work in ways that foster a resilient response to stress and efficient recovery following the stressful event. Biofeedback therapy gives you millisecond accurate mirroring of what your heart is communicating to the rest of your body, allowing you to gain control over your body's innate response and recovery to stress. Sessions last 45 to 60 minutes and the techniques can be applied to improve many health conditions as well as to optimize performance in sports, business, politics, the arts, and many other domains/industries. Dr. Lagos' goal is to allow you to improve control over how your body reacts to internal and external stressors. She will teach you first hand a training that can improve your performance in specific situations, improve your baseline health, and help you close the gap between your potential and performance.
