Deciding Whether Therapy Is Right For You There are many reasons why you may come to work with Dr. Lagos. Sometimes it is to deal with health challenges such as anxiety or depression. These tend to produce results, which are effective, and long-term. Her overarcching goal is to help you have the richest experience of therapy that is possible and to help you secure understanding and insight to make lasting changes.  How Dr. Lagos Can Help You Through her initial assessment, Dr. Lagos determines which combination of approaches may be most effective for you. As therapy continues, she integrates the most efficacious psychological treatment and approaches for helping you to achieve your personal and health goals.  What Is a Session Like? Every session is unique and based on your specific needs. It is standard, however, for Dr. Lagos to schedule a series of weekly sessions with you where each session lasts around 45-minutes unless it is the initial meeting. Consultations can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or longer term, addressing more complex issues for ongoing personal growth. There may be times where you are asked to take certain actions outside of the sessions such as keeping records to track certain behaviors or recording thoughts or feelings.
